YOGA – Find your balance

Our RISE yoga sessions blend mindfulness and movement to help you find your balance and release tension. They offer the perfect mix of strength, flexibility and gentle stretching.

PILATES – Build your core

RISE Pilates sessions focus on the type of controlled movements and core engagement exercises that build strength and stability. In addition to RISE, we also have focussed Pilates workouts and Hot Pilates classes in-club. There’s a workout for that!

BARRE – Tone and sculpt

Our barre fitness sessions in this RISE group exercise class offer the perfect mix of strength while sculpting specific muscle groups. Barre is low impact but high energy, and tends to isolate smaller body parts using small, repetitive movements and pulses.

BREATHE – Relax your body and mind

Mindful breathing and controlled movements throughout the RISE class encourage a strong mind-body connection. The extended breathwork at the end of the session helps to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, helping you stay calm and centred. Mental clarity, relaxation and stress reduction are RISE benefits!

Why take a RISE class?

Simplicity! It’s a way to treat your body to a holistic journey towards better health. The benefits of joining in include improved flexibility, core strength, stress reduction, and mental clarity. That’s a powerful blend!

“By taking this class you’ll experience the unique combination of four disciplines in one hour instead of having to attend four separate classes, which would typically take up to four hours a week,” says EARTH group exercise lead, Geraldine Anderson. “RISE is a great class if you’re busy and needing a quick in and out gym workout with all the benefits of multiple disciplines-in-one!”

RISE UP TO THE CHALLENGE!

Session breakdown:

  • 10 minutes – WARM UP

We begin by centering and breathing in readiness to RISE.

  • 13 minutes – YOGA

We then move on with gentle yoga poses to enhance flexibility and calm the mind.

  • 14 minutes – BARRE

Next, are exercises that focus on lower body and core sculpting.

  • 13 minutes – PILATES

These are core-focused exercises to improve stability and strength.

  • 10 minutes – COOL DOWN AND RELAXATION

We gently close the session with deep breathing and relaxation techniques to reduce stress

and align the body and mind.

  • Reduce stress through breathwork

RISE allows you to start with basic exercises and progressively move to more challenging variations – if you choose to.  Learn to listen to your body!
